Candace Thompson, a Trinidad and Tobago native, graduated from Adelphi University with the Ruth St. Denis Award for excellence in the dance department. She has since had the honor to dance with Andrea E. Woods/Souloworks; David Gordon; Germaul Barnes/Viewsic Expressions Dance; INSPIRIT, a dance company; Leda Meredith; Trebien Pollard, Brooklyn Ballet and Forces of Nature Dance Theater.

Currently, she works with Makeda Thomas, and is the Rehearsal Director for Sydnie L. Mosley Dances.
