My choreography is being produced in the Graduate/Undergraduate Concert on December 4, 5 & 6!
Even though I am going to school for choreography, having your work produced is extremely competitive and not guaranteed until your thesis concert. But after not performing for a year, or seeing any of my work on stage, not one but two dances will be in the concert.
The first, titled "Doo Bee Dop, Doo Et," combines rhythmic movement, scatting and storytelling to dance the friend-foe aspect of sibling relationships.
The second dance, "Pulled/Together" demonstrates forces and tensions between moving bodies. Attracted and repulsed, suspended then released, balanced yet unsteady, a collective energy holds the dancers together.
Pictures, videos, rants and raves to come after the concert... !
